TITLE
Dr. Ramkrishna Sen is a Professor and Former Head, Department of Bioscience & Biotechnology, IIT Kharagpur. He served as Fulbright Visiting Professor in Columbia University, New York, USA and as Manager (R&D-Biotech), Cadila Pharma Ltd., India. He has been engaged in Energy–Environment–Water–&–Healthcare R&D with a major focus on Green Process-&-Product Development in Microbial-&-Microalgal Biorefinery models. So far, his achievements include: PhD candidates guided: 28; PhD candidates working: 16; Total journal Publications: ~175 with ~13000 citations and 58 h-index: Books published: 7; Patents filed/granted: 14; R&D projects completed: 30 and Projects being implemented: 6. Prof. Sen’s name featured in the World Ranking of Top 2% of the Scientists (Stanford University, USA). He has been honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award (Jadavpur University); Fulbright Visiting Professor Fellowship (USA); Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute Award (Canada); UKIERI Award for Academic Visits (UK) and National Award for Technology Innovation, Government of India.
